DS will be 11 months on Tuesday.
At 8 months I took him to the docs to get him weighed and measured. His length and height were in the 50th percentile but his head circ was lower than the 3rd, I didn't put it on his chart until I got home so I wasn't able to ask the doctor at the time. I just left it as he looks normal, ie his head doesn't look small in comparison to his body or anything like that.
Also, possibly related, possibly not I'm not sure... in the last couple of months I've been weighing him at the chemist (same one each time) and he doesn't seem to change much. Well, today I weighed him after a bf and he was less than last time which was about 3 weeks ago! So either he's not gaining anything or loosing weight
I'm taking him to the docs on monday just in case but just thought I'd see what you guys thought.
He's otherwise very happy, eating well (most of the time), still has wet and dirty nappies like he's supposed to, and I know they stop growing *as much* but not all together, right? He's 9.44 kgs atm, almost half a kilo less than last time.
It's just concerning me that he doesn't seem to be growing at all.
Am I being paranoid (DF thinks I am)? Feel free to give me a good cyber-slap-over-the-head if I need one.

I would put it down to a few things, based on his age, I would guess that he is being more active now, so burning up a lot more energy, which is why there is often a slow down or a drop in weight. DD lost nearly 1 kg earlier in the year and I was surprised as at the time she had, but put it down to her learning to crawl, then walk (thanks to a lot pf physio help ). But she is fine, and her %iles are all over the place, height is the 10th, weight is 25th-50th% and her head is 90th so she is the opposite, but she had thinned out a lot and also just gained some height. Her size 12-18 month PP jeans fit really well now, with her fluffy bum , where as for a short while they were a bit tight, and way tooo long.
If he is eating well (and yeah they all have their days ), has wet and dirty nappies, then I would see how he goes over the enxt month of two, but DD's weight has plateaued since starting all the extra movement, but I am sure she will put it on with out us noticing as much now.
You're not paranoid, just trying to get an idea, what is "normal" and what is out of the ordinary, and in reality normal is a pretty varied thing in itself especially when it comes to babies

Thanks Beema We went to the doctors today and had him weighed on their scales. Doc said he's perfectly healthy. I'm glad i went though otherwise I would have been worrying about it. lol
Grumpybum slimmed down something severe after she turned 2 - you could see all her ribs and she clearly wasn't a plump little thing anymore. She was eating like a bird and getting taller all the time but not weighing a spot more.
Then suddenly discovered food, ate anything that wasn't nailed down, shot up a clothing and shoe size in less than a fortnight (literally went from her sandals fitting perfectly to her toes hanging out the ends) which necessitated a bit of an emergency clothes buying spree as I looked like a horrible mother having a kid clearly in clothes 1 size too small, and now she has a comfortable layer of fat on her again (which coincides with her naked thing from the other thread lol). They just go through stages.
