What can I put on baby's cracked lips?

What can I put on my 5mth old lips? Her lips are dried and cracking and bleeding.

How bout that Lanisoh stuff for cracked nipples? Shouldn't harm her and its great for cracked heels so I would imagine it would do great for lips...

You can also use food grade oils, coconut oil, olive oil. I put a drop of vit e oil in with some coocnut oil and mix it together for moisturising balms.

I was also going to say the stuff you put on cracked nipples... But make sure its one that doesnt need to be washed off nipples first... Also a small about of vasoline should be ok.

It's my understanding that dry lips are a sign of dehydration. Is she having enough fluid?

Breastmilk? If you still have milk that is. The hind milk is best - more fat.

Hi All,

Thanks for the reply. She's on formula so i dont have breastmilk anymore. I think she is having enough fluids because she drinks water in between meals. She has a cold at the moment.

Can I use olive oil the ones u use to cook with?

phoenixml have you actually tried to squeeze any out? I weaned DD at 7 months, she's 2.5 now and i still can get a few drops expressed by hand (very handy for booboo's and grazes )

I was going to suggest this as well as this is what I use, I use the red tube & have never seen a yellow tube is there something wrong with the red tube Kazbah?
