If my little son does not get his way e.g. touching my computer, etc he will chuck a tainty, like cry and whinge. He's also been abit out of sorts this week, clingy, crying, woke up crying at 10pm one night. Wondering if its just his teething, he got 3 coming in at once, which will make it total of 11...
Hi Caz
The tantrums are completely normal, it's the start of toddler-hood lol
My DS is almost 16 months and has been doing the tanty thing if he doesn't get his way since around 11 months.
Not sure about the other problems, it could be teething?
Caz, my DS was and still is very placid (compared to some other kids I've seen).
He started chucking tanties around that age too - he's started to learn he had a choice. I reckon they get confused between being able to make a choice and still being in the "mummy" faze.
Strangely enough, when he was about 15 months the tanties were rife. Now he is two, he is just so sweet. There don't appear to be any terrible twos - currently this is my most favourite stage. He's so talkative and loving. We do, on the odd occasion have to put him in the corner, but when we explain why after 1 minute, he gets a complete attitude adjustment. We all hug and it's over.
I think DS went through the terrible twos early, maybe the same will happen with your DS. I hope so, my DS is just beautiful at the moment.
