A friends little girl will be one shortly and I suggested to our group of friends that we all put in money and get something great rather than just smaller things for the sake of it. Is there anything you could recommend?
Hhmmmm- something silver like a toddler cutlery set (knife, fork, spoon) or a Royal Doulton children's plate and bowl set type thing? Saw some really cute Villeroy and Boch kiddy stuff in the kitchen section of DJs. A set of classic baby books like Peter Rabbit or Winnie the Pooh. An adjustable gold bangle. Just trying to think of things that will be kept and not passed on...Will try and think of more!
In terms of toys - we have bought my kids smart trikes for both their first birthdays (they are a bike suitable for 9 month olds up to 3 year olds). My kids both loved their bikes!
Otherwise, I would suggest checking with your friend as to what she would like for her DD . . . she might have something in mind.
