A sleep victory!

DD just went to sleep by herself for a daytime nap for the first time!

Yay!!!

We successfully had her self settling at night time months ago, but day sleeps have been a different matter. She would be talking and climbing around her cot for an hour, so I would give up and put her to sleep. I have been wrapping and rocking a 19 month old to sleep!

The last couple of days have done my head in. She fights so hard to stand up and get out of her wrap. She even tries to bite me. Today I had it and just put her in her sleeping bag and left her and told her she wasn't getting up until she had slept.

I had to go in a couple of times to take away things that I didn't know she could reach from her cot! After about an hour she eventually went to sleep. I am so glad. Hopefully we can keep this up.

WOOHOO!!! I remember Oskar was a shocker too, he was still BFing to sleep but then I stopped BFing and omg what a battle for a while! Good on you both
