    Pop tops

Any tips on getting my DD2 - 3 off a pop top. She has them like a bottle.
I started giving them to her to get her off the bottle, but she just sort of replaced the bottle with them.
She uses them to go to sleep, & always has a drink in her hands.
She is drinking more milk than anything, she occasionally has water, or watered down cordial & juice.
It's not really a pop top anymore, but a small drink bottle.
She isn't interested in having a big girl cup.
It's not really that she'll only have the drink bottle, but that needs it to go to sleep. I do sometimes tell her to hop into bed & I'll bring it in, then pretend to forget, but its not very often she forgets. She usually comes looking for it after a few minutes.
Please help. It's ruining her teeth.

    Hiya,
I had the same same same problem. Not only does it ruin their teeth, but you end up with a 'milky' bed and missing bottles everywhere.

My solution was - I just started to 'water' down her milk, 3/4, half, 1/4 until she was on nearly water. And didn't like the taste anymore, so she didn't ask. I just started finding she just wouldn't drink as much, and then she wasn't even touching it anymore. Only recently has she started asking for 'wada' (water) so I just give her 1/2 a pop top and that sends her to sleep.

My other two still ask everynight for a 1/2 cup of water next to their beds. I don't think we'll ever cut this out...

And as for DH - well, I'm still trying to get him off the bottle!!!!

    Good luck!
