Okay, so yes it is a bit early, but my mother in-law has bought all the clothes and most of the furniture we will ever need for baby, and now she wants to buy us a pram.
The problem is, I have to find the one I want and I dont know how to without going to a gazillion shops looking for it.
We've been looking for maybe a site that takes your specs and tells you what pram you need.. but don't think it exists..
The Specifications that Im after are these:
1. Must have the pump up rubber wheels
2. must be 4 wheels
3. Must have a detachable toddler seat
4. Must fit in boot of car and be lightweight
Price is not a concern because the more they spend, the less other junk they will buy for us (hopefully)
So if anybody has an idea of a pram/stroller that has these 4 things.. PLEASE HELP!!!
I *think* Valco have a four wheeler with all of those (although not sure on the lightweight thingy). When searching for prams I found the toddler seat on the Valco's don't leave much room behind in the main seat. Very squishy but that would only be a concern when the baby is old enough to want to be sitting up as well.
We've gone with the new Strider Plus (there is a thread about the new Plus somewhere). It does not have pump up wheels but they are made the same as the pump up wheels. You just never have to pump them up when they go flat or get a puncture.
Other than that I'm not sure of any others, most of them are 3 wheelers I think. I'm sure someone else will pop in with some ideas!
Thanks for that Eluned,
I'll look into the strider plus.. I got a leaflet about it in my 'bounty bag' so I'll let the mil know.
Im suprised there aren't more with these features though.. Im not keen on a 'jogger' because of its awkwardness and well.. I dont jog! But it seems that at all the baby stores they have more of these joggers than prams!
the British ICANDY range of prams are due to be released her in FEBish......either the icandy pear od the icandy peach blossom would be perfect for you.....they are my most fave prams in the whole wide world!!!
I had a bertini mio which fit all of your criteria (twas my criteria too!) I bought it second hand on ebay for 250, was 800+ new. I think it was released about 5 years ago and is no longer in production. However, the Bertini range that is out at the moment may also fit you bill... it may be worth taking a look
What about the Bugaboo cameleon, only thing on the list it doesn't have is pump up wheels (not sure why you want these?). It's wheels are foam filled so you never have to worry about pumping them up or getting punctures. I love mine, they are pricey, but IMO well worth it.
