Question???

Just wanting to know if there is any damage done if you pick up a baby, 9 months old, by her arms. I have heard that it can do damage to ligaments and muscles in their arms cause they are pretty much holding all their weight on their arms.
I have seen people do it and we do it a bit not all the time but now I am not so sure its good to do it! It doesnt hurt her infact she loves it but am a little concerned.
Your advice would be appreciated.

It is very easy to dislocate the shoulders of little kids, that is the reason I have been given for not picking them up by their arms.

You probably haven't done any damage so far, but best not to do it in future.
