Rash On Toddler Arms

I`m hoping someone might be able to give me some advice, last night while having tea I noticed Matthew had a rash over both his arms which looked like hives to me so we gave him some Phenergen while I was wondering what brought on this reaction.

This morning the rash is still there plus he has two little spots on his back. Would hives last this long or could it be something else? Mark even mentioned the m word to me which has freaked me out!!!!!

Is his face red? My 14yr old was sent home from school last week with a rash on her arms - they thought it might be "slap cheek". Measles rashes will start onthe trunk.

Thanks Lulu for your reply, no he doesn`t have a red face.

The rash seems to spreading down onto his hands and down his legs and in his groin so we have an appointment at the Dr this morning otherwise he seems himself, eating and as active as usual which is a good sign just this rash looks awful, poor boy.

Will let you know how we get on.
