I just came across a blog about a mum and her little daughter, and this line really stood out for me:
I reckon that's a good idea. If you think your little ones are growing up too quickly, remind yourself that they won't be able to [insert task only teens/adults can do] until [insert far-off date] and all will be well because it feels like a very long time awayShe’s not a baby anymore. Will it ever sink in? I have to keep reminding myself that she can’t get her drivers license until 2025, so at least she will still need me for rides….right?
For example, Cookie won't be able to get his/her learner's permit until about March, 2027
Please note: This won't work if you already have teenagers and it isn't a far off date - for example, my mum can't console herself that my youngest brother won't be able to get his learner's until July, 2011 because it doesn't seem that far away![]()
