I have friends who have said that the baby got a bit fussy about bf when they had AF cause it changes the taste but they have been able to perservere.
Ok AF returned today for the first-time, I was just wondering what to expect re my milk and what happens to it through out my cycle, as this is the first-time that I've been still been b/fing when AF has returned.
hugs xoxo

I'm one of the lucky ones who got AF about 8 weeks after S was born (yippee), and he was fine with it. Didn't seem to be too bothered about changes in milk taste.
I'm still post birth bleeding (or it could be a very long af started)... So i havn't noticed any changes with izz... soz i can't help
Amanda, I have had AF once since Tom was born, and had it 3 times while bfing Jack before I fell pg again. I haven't had a problem with supply or taste anytime. My problem with supply was only when I was pg again! I know sometimes they can be fussy with the taste for a day or so before AF arrives and this can last a few days, other times there is no issue. I hope it all goes well for you. If you haven't had problems so far I think you'll be fine.
this post is a bit late but....
my bubs stopped breastfeeding 2 weeks after i first got my period back (when he was 9mths). he stopped for 3 days and in the end, i had to express for comfort and when i did, the milk was a mint green colour!!! i was advised to keep trying BF and by the 4th day, he was back to normal feeding, like nothing had happened. how weird!! and ever since, he's been fine when i've been ovulating. so it wasnt my period, it was ovulating that made him fussy
