I can't remember how old DD1 was when she started to recognise which pair of shoes was which so thought i would ask.
DD2 a couple of days ago picked up her show, said SHOES and handed it to me to put it on, i then watched her walk to the other side of the lounge look under the table there and pick out the matching pair.... i wouldn't think much of it if there weren't say 10 other pairs of shoes there all piled one each other.
So is this normal for her age (roughly 14mths)?
Just curious is all, she's a little head with her speech and i'm wondering if i'm going to have to keep both the girls occupied 100% of the time if she's learning quickly. IYKWIM.
One of the boys at mothers group picked up one of his shoes then hunted high and low for the other til he found it. About the same age. Dunno if that's the same but he definitely knew it had a partner! Jack will pick his up together but he only has one pair and they're usually near each other anyway so it probably doesn't count.
Thanks hun, there are soo many pairs under there all mixed, i often have trouble seeing which is which... lol
Am in the process of writing down how many words she says, i wish i had of done the same for DD1 for all these milestones as i have no clue
