    Have you made a comforter?

Have you ever made a comforter for your baby to help them fall asleep? The comforters in the baby shops are so expensive for what they are, and I thought perhaps some material knotted and sewn together may suffice but I'm not very handy at these things. Any ideas on what I could use and put one together?

My Grandma sent a little white bunny over from England when DD was born. She kinda just chose it one day when I put her in her cot while i was cleaning. This was about 3months, and my Freya (best name) hasnt slept without bunny since. She LOVES him sooo much! its so cute watching her fall asleep, she gets bunnys ears and strokes her face Makes her feel better when shes sad or whingy. Its great....we have to time when to wash it tho so it doesnt impact on her naps :P

So mabey just a soft toy with big ears?

Whatever you make, perhaps make a few so you can rotate them for washing, wear and tear, and the dreaded day that one might go missing!

Yeah, they are quite easy, and fun and I also recommend making a couple so you have a spare, it has been invaluable for us when we either left it behind somewhere orr DD was sick and it had to be washed.
I also recommend keeping it smallish, 30cm square ot so, perhaps with a tag/ribbon/loop that is can be carried by as well
Have fun and I would love to see the finished product
