I'm desperately trying to find a way to get DS to sleep in his bed overnight, without having me sleeping on the floor next to him....not good on my hips & back, plus not really sustainable when no2 arrives. I'm thinking that I might try a "reward" chart, to see if I can encourage him to stay in bed all night.
So my question is - has anyone done this? Did it work? How did you set it up? What was the "reward" you used, ie what would appeal to a short-attention span 2yo? I don't want to use food, and I don't want to go OTT with things/toys, but not sure that stickers would be enough...
Rewards could be:
- trip to the park
- toy car
- feeding birds bread
- painting
- craft
- read favourite book
- listening to a story you make up using toys as props
- playing in the bath with special toys
- racing mummy in the backyard
