    Same DVD all day long

Hi, ds (22) mnths has just started watching the odd DVD -10 mins appr at most before he wanders off to something else, but wow he loves the same one over and over again,, i am so sick of the tune.. can only listen to play school so many times. ha ha

I didnt want him to get into TV, but now 10 mins peace and quiet here is quite handy.

have you thought about hunting around the shops and on ebay to try and get him some other play school dvd's. If its just a play school thing he likes this could be less irritating to you dont have much more advce to offer.. good luck

DS1 is nearly 3 1/2 and the only thing he'll sit in front of for more than 5 minutes is Cars. I think both he and I can recite it word for word LOL!!

gotta laugh!! I used to have to endure the same "Barney" one (the big purple dinosaur for those who don't know) and also a Bananas in Pyjamas.... now we have progressed (being 15 now) to Fast and the Furious, Too Fast Too Furious and Tokyo Drift.... oh yeah doesn't get much better, hahahaha.

We enure the same punishment here! Our posion is also The Wiggles. DD has become better since introducing lots of different DVD's to her collection - mostly based on other things she likes such as Dogs (101 Dalmations and Blue's Clue) and she has fallen in love with Dumbo. Having said that, nothing (and I mean NOTHING) gets the same response as The Wiggles!

Kim - I hear you! Except I often wake at 2am with some bloomin' Wiggles song in my head! Arg!

Harrison is exactly the same... Harrison loves to watch Cars as he is going down for a nap. DH and I know it word for word... some nights we sit in there and mouth the words too. Harrison only likes to watch the first 2-3 chapters then he is either over it or asleep.

He has also discovered Yo Gabba Gabba for his awake times, and also likes In The Night Garden (which DH and I think is annoying!)

So December, you're not alone hun... but 10 mins of movies for 10 mins peace and quiet is worth it if you ask me

Our girls latest obsession is In The Night Garden. They know that it is on after sunrise on abc1 and lunchtime on abc2. Most days they get to watch the first one but I refuse to have it on twice in one day. The girls have the books too but thankfully no dvd's... I just hope nobody buys one for Christmas

We have so many kids dvd's its not funny so there is usually a different one chosen each time. The girls also take turns in choosing so its not always Dora The Explorer which is our youngest ones favourite.

Wiggles and Hi-5 songs just seem to seep into your consiousness and I've heard of parents with cd's in the car singing (by accident) whilst other adults are in range and the jeers they receive are huge. Yes, I'm one of them singing unfortunately! It's worse for men though.
