Question How do I tie this baby carrier / wrap thing??

I have been handed down a long long long piece of material that you wrap around yourself so you can 'tie' your baby to your tummy. They don't know how to use it (was given it by someone else).

I have found one way of wrapping it on the net, How To Wrap a Traditional baby wrap carrier!Instructions with pictures at wearsthebaby.com but it is about 1m too short for that style, so I wonder if anyone else has one and if so, can you direct me to some instructions of how to use it? I have made up one style myself, but I don't think it's that comfortable for bubba.

    Thanks.

The videos on youtube are great for this kind of stuff. I suggest maybe searching for how to tie a HAB?

Go onto YouTube & seach either Moby Wrap or Hug A Bub & you'll find heaps of videos with instructions Otherwise, see if you can figure it out with these written instructions - Wrap Style Carrier Wrapping Techniques

Do you know what the actual length is? Do you think you can tie at the back instead of the front?

Have tried tying it at the back, but I can only do a single knot, as there is not enough material for a double, and even then it is too tight to be comfortable for bubba.

The actual length is 3m 56cm. Sounds really long, but doesn't seem to cut the mustard.

I wonder if maybe it was used as a sling somehow?

It does sound like a ring sling without the rings.

    Maybe they just tied it???
