Recommendation for car seat- tall 2 year old.

DDhas outgrown her Safe and Sound Compaq car seat. Shes just turned 2 and is about 91cms. I was wondering what seat is good for taller kids and something that has to now last til 7 years old.

maxi riders most booster type seats these days have extending bit so it can grow with childs height

Mini - DD1 is similar age/height to yours and she is in a Maxi-rider. It is great! We got ours from a place in Keysborough (cant remember what its called!) as it was the best price we could get!

the maxirider AHR is great
goes till 7 years old for average weight kids.

we are getting one for DD as new baby will get her car seat.

SS was the place in keysborough on cheltenham rd where all those shops are???? I saw it in baby bunting for $350 for the ahr one...is that good?

Yep thats the one! We didnt get the AHR (its a bit more expensive) and we paid $270. I think $350 for the AHR isnt a bad price

Thanks SS I just rang them...was it Hush a Bye? They sell the AHR for $345...so am going to pop in and get one today Thanks everyone.

thats a greta price, we paid 360 for ours, but we are in teh country lol

the AHR is great as it gives you and extra 3 inches i think of height we need that with DD she is tall lol

An extra 3 inches is good. Olivia is certainly not taking after me in the height department (I am not quite 5 fot 3...) but DH is just over 6foot so it would be good for that. Am going to go out now and go shopping Oh I love shopping...even when its not for me!

Yep, the maxi rider is fab - my youngest is that tall and to sit him in his maxi rider makes him look small again LOL. Also considering the new car seat laws for children, they really need to be in them for a long time now, so by the time she is too tall for that, she will be able to move onto a regular booster with an adult seatbelt anyway.
