Should I wake him or leave him to sleep?

We have a friend and his little boy (2 year old) staying with us for a few nights.

DH and friend have gone to the movies and at about 4.30 friends boy went to sleep. Should I just leave him be? DH and friend won't be back till about 7.30 brisbane time.

Friend has been saying that his son is so out of whack with sleeps since they have been in Australia since a week before christmas. He hasn't been having day naps and a shocker of nights cause he is so tired, so part of me thinks I should leave him. He is really into routine at home (i.e will have 2-3 hour nap in the day and 10-12 hours at night without prompting)

Also, if he hasn't been having a bottle by choice, have I done harm in giving him one? I know his parents aren't against it, cause they have been commenting that he just stopped when his teat broke when they came over, and by the time they got him another bottle, he just wouldn't take it. He has been walking round drinking water out of his bottle instead of his cup all arvo, but he was eyeing up DS's milk, so when I took him to the fridge, he said he wanted some. Just not sure if they normally give it to him in bed or not, and don't want to make things harder for them.

THe boys are back now and the dad is forever grateful that he doesn't need to get an over-tired baby to bed, LOL..
