    Should i be worried?

You know how you see babies and they have that protruding baby belly? Well i was told it'd go away but Lily still has it! She is skin and bone all over except this belly of hers. Seriously, she looks like she's pregnant some days! I just want it to go away! It is normal for it to still be there? Why is it there? I mean for her body type i'm expecting it to be pretty much flat.

Is it all the time? What I mean is Milos is like that from about lunch time til bed time (when he's been eating) but is gone again by morning?

Yeah it's all the time. It is a lot bigger after meals but it's definatly always noticable.

Chloe has this big tummy until she was almost 5! Now, her tummy will still stick out a lot if she has eaten a big meal or had a big glass of water. Jas lost hers at about 1year old though and no matter how much she eats, she can't stick her belly out!

Olivia is a skinny mini everywhere apart from her pot belly.........She eats well, so I am not overly convcerned.......ie it appears to be pot belly rather than too much tummy IYKWIM?

(Charlie, on the other hand, is simply a chub! LOL!)

Aidyn's pot belly has only flattened out since he was about 3... and it still comes back after he has eaten. I wouldn't worry too much Tegan, I'm sure its perfectly normal for her

My Ardyn is about the same age as your Lily, and she is the same. Pretty slim all over, and has this belly out in front. Not chubby, just protruding. It's not rel noticeable in clothes, but definitely when she's undressed. DH made a comment the other day that she eats too much and could be overweight......no way! Her weight is in perfect proportion to her height.

I've always assumed that it'd go away as her stomach muscles became stronger.

I would also say that if it has always been there it is pretty normal but if you are worried you could get it checked out.

Protruding bellies are actually a sign of an underweight child, which is fine if your child has been the same all the time, and on the same weight curve. But if she is getting skinnier etc... you may want to see a dietician about getting some ideas on how to get some weight onto her. That is when the belly will go in.

We use sustagen with Parker and that tends to work, in helping him gain weight.
