my dd rolled off her bed and onto the floor she was crying a lot and now she asleep -is she ok??? im sooo worried what should i do??? help!!! our bed is very low the mattress is a little below knee height and we have carpeted floors. is it ok? omg omg
How old is she? Would she normally be asleep now? If not, can you try wake her and see if she is responsive. If you are unsure then phone the Health line.
HOw long after falling did she go to sleep?
If it we me, I'd probably wake her just to be sure. I'm sure she'll be ok, my dd has fallen off the bed too, but just to make sure she hasn't got a mild concussion or anything like that.
Let us know how you go. Definatly ring the health hotline number though if your concerned.
Hi Bubbles
It is very unlikely that she has done any harm. However it would be a good idea to keep a close eye on her over the next 24 hours. Look for changes in sleep patterns eg excessive sleeping, difficulty in waking her. Also look for mood changes and signs of pain. I would also suggest that you wake her now and check on her. If you do discover anything that is not normal for her I would not bother with the health line I would go straight to hospital.
Hi bubbles
My DD rolled off our bed at around the same age, and i was just as stressed. I took her to the hospital and they said if she cried that is a GREAT sign. If she didn't cry and then vomited that is a very bad sign. Our bed sounds to be higher than yours too. Oh the doc also asked if we had carpet (yes we do), and he said thats another good thing!
Hope she's feeling better, and i hope you're feeling better too
