sittin up alone

Hi, Ds (6 half mnths) is not sittin on his own as yet. Just wondering when other babies sit on their own for the first time.. He has been rolling back to front and vice versa for over a mnth, and can get up on all 4s and rock and also doing the pre crawling, but just no sitting.. he can if i support him. WOuld love to know when other little ones sit for the 1st time. ta

Babies do things at their own pace.
Some babies walk as early as 9 months and others not until two years, so try not to worry. Developmentally all babies are different, and technically they should not be left to sit until they can put themselves in that position, etc.
My DS sat at 5.5 months.

DD1 was just over 6 mths when she sat alone, but DD2 is almost 6.5 mths and doesn't look like sitting alone just yet!

My DD started to sit alone at about 10 months, even now at 11 months she still gets tired very easy but her balance has improved alot.

Mia has been sitting up alone for 3 weeks now. All bubs are different.
