What sort of toys does your 10 month old play with?
This kind of seems like a dumb question since Nate isn't my first bub, however i have no recollection of what Darcy played with at 10 months old....
I want to get Santa organised in the sales since I just have so much coming up in the next few months (like a move interstate), but I have no idea what to get for Nate who will be 10months old...... We already have heaps of toys but the poor little guy should be able to have a few things of his own.
so what sort of toys does your 10 month old play with?
DD is 11 months now - but has been playing with the same things for a few months now. She loves playing with cars, just rolls them back and forth. She loves the spinning top we have here, trys to get it going herself all the time. Ummm... gee she plays with everything that we have here for DS!!!! At this very moment, they are playing with a dora and diego set, blocks and trees and stuff.
She still loves remotes too. Oh, and the little toy mobile phone.
But mostly cars. But that could be her brother's influence.
Um, anything she can pull herself up on she loves. Board books. She really really loves crawling 'through' things. Like under her high chair, under our legs, under the cubby house Shel makes with the couch and a sheet lol so my sister has bought her this crawl through tunnel thing for her birthday. Um, she likes playing with this toy that has balls and when the ball rolls down it makes noises. A 'walking' monkey thing that rolls around when you touch it... Plus anything with buttons that 'press'... and if they make a noise then YAY even better hahahahaha
Basically, anything that moves or makes noise LOL I could buy Jazz a pots and pans set, give her a wooden spoon to bang them and she'd be happy (lol, keeps her entertained when I'm cooking hahaha).
Thanks you two! THat's pretty much what I was thinking too.
Funny Leasha, Darcy mainly had homemade toys at that stage I think....her fave things were the saucepans and spoons....
Can't wait to get us some cars and trains here Mel!
- My swiss ball
- Tunnels (blanket over two chairs)
- Toy cellphone
- Remotes
- Anything with buttons to press/noises
- Throwing a little ball and chasing it
They certainly do, thankyou! I have a little list next to the puter....thank goodness Darcy can't read yet or I'd have to get mum to teach me shorthand lol.
those wooden blocks, old school ones. Got them at a garage sale for $5 for a box of em lol
Fisher price train and 2 extra carriages, the ones with the big animals in it.
Fisher price house
Fisher price peek a boo block toys. He has them all and all the blocks.
Fake fruit and vegies
Fisher price shopping trolley
He has 2 small buckets of baby toys (taggy blankets, ollie rose taggy toys, rattles etc)
Playskool house tent thing
Balls, lots of balls which he LOVES
Fisher Price puppy (the one that sings and says things when you touch it's hand/ear/nose/foot/tummy)
Some elephant with rattles and stuff on it.
FP xylophone thing
Plastic animals and farm setting
Lego, lots of lego lol
oh and one of those wooden based bead things. You know with the metal rail things that swirl all over it and the coloured circle wooden beads that kids just LOVE. He has one of those lol
yes it's the one that is basically the front and inside of a house, it doesn't have a proper roof, has a mail box, door bell, light, clock etc. Brought it for Jaidan when he was the same age and it's still going. I swear by fisher price stuff. Just lasts forever! Most of the stuff has gone through 3 kids because I gave it to my nephew to use too.
One thing I got back the other day is the FP bounce and spin zebra. Another thing that was brought as soon as they were released and the kids still love it.
He also plays with the boys toys which is trains, cars, books etc.
Riley had a hammer an a box thing with big plastic pegs sticking out which he could hammer in, lots of FP stuff and a big ball.
Where are you moving too????
