i'm sorry, i'm sure there is a section or posts here about sleep issues but i can't seem to find them...
DS is 6 and a half months old and for the past 3 mths he's in a routine where he has a bottle about 7pm and then bed at 8ish. i find he wakes at 2am for a bottle and then he's up at 5 to play. the last few nights it's been 11pm, 3am and 5.
i work full time as a kindy teacher and i know every child is different, but it's so frustrating when i have all these people (parents at my centre in particular) who say to me "oh you poor thing, my bub has slept through since 3 mths" etc. believe it or not this doesn't help me...ha ha
i'm doing this on my own at the moment whilst DH is away for work, and i'm handling it well however i can't lie, i'm very tired...
he did fantastic about 2 mths of age and was sleeping up to 9 hrs but now it's 7hrs tops. i tried waking him at 11/12pm but he still woke at 3 or 4am. so i gave up on that.
is there any suggestions anyone could give me on anything that has worked to help their child sleep longer, or do i just go with it and hope he sleeps longer on his own, eg: i've seen a few baby sleep books in the shops.
other than this he is a fantastic baby so i really can't complain at all....just a tad tired...
cheers
