Loves his sling...hates the pram! Any advice?

My 2 month old bubby loves his baby bjorn sling. He could be carried around in it for hours! He loves facing outwards to see what is going on and it always lulls him into a blissful sleep. The only thing is he is starting to get heavy and I'm finding it exhausting going shopping with him in it. We have a Beema Q pram which has a bassinette attachment for newborns to lay down in. He is only happy in his pram if he is asleep or very dozy. Perhaps the problem is that because he is laying down he can't see what is going on so isn't as happy?
So am just wondering if anyone else has a baby who isn't content in their pram. Do you think the pram problem is likely to get better when he is a little older and can sit upright? When I see other babies in their prams they seem happy.
I'm hoping he enjoys the pram soon..the sling kind of makes shopping a tiring experience!!

I have the Mountain Buggy pram, and bought the bassinet for that. My DD was in it I think 3 times -she has reflux and so hates lying flat. Like your bubs, she loves her sling. I put the "normal" pram bit back on and raised the back a little so it wasn't totally flat and she loved it.

I think my baby also has reflux so thats also why he doesn't like laying down. I wonder if I can raise the pram into a sitting position for him? I tried but the harness doesn't seem tight enough.

Hi! My DD was the same when she was younger. Loved the sling (we have a HAB) but hated the pram. We also have the beema Q and the bassinette attachment which she hated unless she was sound asleep...one day we just layed her flat in the pram without the attachment and she was fine. It really wasn't until she was old enough to sit upright in the pram (2 months is probably a bit young for him) that she started to like it. Now I have absolutely no problems. If your DS has reflux that probably wouldn't help. The harness still isn't tight enough on my DD and she is now 6 and a half months old...they are just big straps! Good luck..keep persisting..maybe try without the bassinette, otherwise have hope that he will outgrow this and come to like being in the pram.

Had the same problem here, DD loved the HAB, but did not like the pram. We did find though with the bassinet attachement that is slopes just slightly towards the head, so we raised up the mattress head with a folded cloth nappy. She definately improved with the pram when she could sit up.

I'm feeling alot better now after reading the replies. Do you girls remember how old your babies were when they started sitting up in their prams?
