    Swaddling

    Hi

I have been swaddling our son since birth and has beenin ergo cocoon swaddle. I started transitioning him with one arm out about a week ago and he was sleeping fine during the day and still sleeping through out the night.

My problem is in the last few days he has been waking and unable to settle himself during the day. he woke just before but was obviously still tired and I popped his arms back in the swaddle to see if that helped and he was asleep within two minutes (after crying for about 10mins once he woke up)

He is still sleeping perfectly fine during the night with one arm out so I can't figure out what the problem is?

    Any ideas??

Maybe he still wants the snugness of the swaddle?

is the room is light or can he hear you moving around the house doing things so doesnt just settle down again when he wakes during the day?

I used one of those wraps. DD was in it til 9 months (she was small, though). Best money ever spent. I ended up just going 'cold turkey' while DH was away for a week, she wasn't ready at a younger age to sleep with her arms out, and leaving it til 9 months was perfect.

Charlotte my concern is he will roll over and not be able to flip back - he has good head control so he would be able to lift his head enough to scream if he was upset and let us know during the day.. How did u avoid this till 9mnths?

Oh, DD wasn't a roller. We tucked her pretty tight, too. She turned into a roller once she was unwrapped, tho.
I never thought about about your little one rolling.
