just a quick post to say how proud i am of Xavier, at 2.5 years, he has beautiful manners - most of the times he says please and thankyou, he just gorgeous. today we were down cleaning our chicken coop out and he knocked one of the chickens and said 'oh, sorry bok bok'. my heart melted, he's so adorable. my mum always has a go at me for little things, and the other day commented about how good his manners are, and i replied 'hmm. must be doing something right then..'
You should be proud because obviously Xavier is learning this from you!!
Every time I encounter a child with lovely manners I firstly want to scoop the child up and plant a huge kiss on their cheek, and then I want to - and do when I have the chance - thank their parents for instilling in their child behaviour that is so important but sadly lacking in many children. So: Thank you!!!
And now I want my own chicken just so I have an excuse to name it 'Bok Bok'. So divine.
You have acheived exactly what I am hoping to achieve, you should be so very proud of yourself. Manners are something that many people lack these days and it is up to us parents to bring it back.
