    She fell of the lounge

My almost 4month old baby girl just fell off the lounge onto tiles face first...she cried for about 3 mins and then was ok...there are no lumps or bruises not even a red spot where she hit. She was tired before she fell off the lounge as i was making her a bottle...should i let her have her bottle and go to sleep or should i keep her awake as long as i can...should i take her to the hospital??? so many questions...ifeel absolutly horrible

Oh, the guilt you feel is awful. Big hugs. Given that she cried straight away and didn't throw up, i'm sure she's fine. Is there a nurses on-call helpline you can call in NSW? Both my older girls did this at about this age. I would give her the bottle and let her go to sleep but keep an eye on her whilst she's sleeping. She'll probably have a headache for a little while (if i remember from my DDs).

try not to beat yourself up, it happens to pretty well everyone and she is most likely fine. I would just keep an eye on her, let her sleep but gently stir her every 15-30 mins. You dont need to wake her just enough to get a reaction.

Signs of concussion can include- vomiting, lethargy, uncharacteristically unsettled, bruising behind the ears/ around the eyes, confusion- ie not recognising you/ familiar surroundings

Go with your gut. If you feel something is not right get her checked out. Even if she is fine it's better to have that piece of mind if you're not sure.
