    Stinky wee ?? teething

    Hi all,
MJ has developed really REALLY stinky wee... she doesnt appear to have a UTI (and it doesnt have that smell) and is not in pain when PU but it reaks.
Also i dont think that she would be dehydrated, she has plenty of wet (and did i mention smelly) nappies and she isnt overly thirsty.

I have heard that some babied develop smelly wee when they are teething?
    Could this be the case...
and regarding the teething, how long til she actually gets teeth from symptoms? she has had a dribble/teething rash for a month now and there is no sign of an teeth at all (not that i really want her to have teeth as she is biting my nipples atm and they are sore )

She has also began to shake her head and rubbing her ears and DH tells me that they often get sore ears...
She is not upset or distressed by any of this at all

    Any comments would be appreciated

    TIA

Annabelles wee SMELLS so bad when she is teething even if her gums are not inflammed etc the wee is my 1st sign of whats to come With her 1st couple of teeth she was a norer on the nipples kind of gal but then every time she would do it, I stoppped feeding her and placed her sitting/lying on the floor and turned away for a sec, she would then realise "if i bite mum doesn't give booby!"

DD is the same, really feral smelling wet nappies. Hadn't related it to teething until you mentioned it but makes perfect sense. As for when you'll see teeth it could be tonight or next month. Teeth have a habit of going up and down before breaking through so hers might be doing a bit of a dance under the gum doona and just waiting until the right time to pop thru.
And I do the same as Kass, if DD has a chomp she gets a sharp no, gets put on the ground and let there for a few seconds then put back on. Funnily enough she doesn't seem to do it anywhere near as much now...
