    Dirty nappies - non stop!!

Cooper is going to nearly be a year old and in the last month, his dirty nappies have gone from about 3 to sometimes 6 or 7 a day!! At first I thought he may have had a stomach bug, but it isn't because this has been going on too long.

I do give him a lot of vegies and also have been giving him brown rice for some of his meals, so I tried to slow down on these and it still hasn't made a difference. I also REALLY wanted to avoid wheat, so stopped that for a while, but now I am back to giving him toast and pasta hoping this will slow down the poop! No luck yet!

Anyone know why he poos so much? All other mums I know, their babies only do a couple.

    Cheers!

Gee, you poor thing. That's a lot of dirty nappies! I don't really have the answer for you, but I would guess that it's diet related, and that it will settle down. It would either be the quantity of food, or the types of food. I think fruit can cause more dirty nappies - does he eat lots of fruit? I really don't know what to suggest, perhaps you could ring the MCHN - I am sure they would be able to give you more information.

Not much fruit - only some banana in the morning, and maybe a piece of fruit in the afternoon.
