Ok, so DD #1 was a cold weather baby. That's pretty straight forward. But I am wondering what things do I need for a summer baby? It gets pretty hot here in QLD, but we do have aircon. But is the baby going to need basically just singlets / jumpsuits that are sleevless? Do you still wrap the baby? Im not quite sure whether babies feel the heat like we do kwim? Any help would be awesome
Down on the sunny coast, you'll be fine with muslin wraps of cotton wraps. When we've visited there (I grew up there) we've never had to use a/c. I've just bought Ambah an ergo cocoon. If you're looking at wrapping bub, then maybe something like that. Bub won't overheat then. And I think a bodysuit, that with the fan on would be sufficient.
DD was born in March it was pretty hot still, she just wore singlets, little short suits etc..We used Muslin wraps, or anything light weight cotton..at night we wrapped her
I'd buy a couple jumpsuits for cooler days & nights. There might not be many, but they'll be handy to have. Specially if you have air con. On hot days DD just has a singlet or tshirt & nappy, then a light wrap. I do still wrap, but its not exactly hot yet! NB's are easier to settle when wrapped, so I'd still make sure you have them.
