    Unhappy Mummy's Girl...

Please tell me this too will pass?!

We had a big day out today and Isabelle was pretty good until about 2 when we go to a bbq at a friends place. She refused to be held by anyone but me, and would just look from the arms of whoever was holding her (including daddy) find me and down would go the lip and on came the tears! We have been pretty social with her since birth and she has been held by lots of close friends so this is all a bit unusual. Someone did mention that at around 4 months babies are more aware of who is around them etc...

While I was holding her there she was a little grizzly but once we got home, I put her down on her rug and she laughed at me straight away and was fine and happy til bedtime. Cheeky brat - all I could think though (mainly because Ive had a bad day) was that she wont ever be happy out with other people and I will be stuck in my lounge room for life

Tell me its a phase please and she will go back to being the social butterfly she used to be!???

Tan, it is definitely a phase and will pass. It could be that she was a bit tired and overwhelmed by so many people - at times like that the comfort of mum is unbeatable. Or it could be separation anxiety starting already. Either way, it's a phase and there is hope for your social life!!
