    Hi
I travelled to the Uk on my own with 7 1/2 month old earlier this year. I took more than I needed of everything, bottles, formula, nappies, wipes, toys, clothes(take things that are easy to layer cos the temp fluctuates quite a bit in planes) etc. I took powdered food for her (Raffertys Garden porridge stuff) and water in extra bottles, disposable bibs, rusks, biccies etc. Oz side didn't make me open anything to taste but Uk side did so make sure you take things that can be closed up again once you've opened them for inspection. I made sure I had some of her fav.toys and a couple of new ones for her to explore on the journey that did lots of things and enough dummies and comforters incase they got lost or dirty. I also took antiseptic wipes and disposable change mats to use. The plane toilets are a nightmare to use so take a small bag to put just the changing stuff you need for each trip to the loo and a small toy to keep bub amused in the very confined space! You generally get your food and things before everyone else on the plane because of where the bassinet seats are so I timed our nappy change trips to be as soon as I'd eaten so that everypne else was busy and it didn't matter how much time we had to spend in there! IYKWIM!I also took a spare change of clothes for me to wear, just incase! Everyone we met from the airport staff, plane staff and even Joe public wre REALLY helpful!!! Accept peoples help though! It's hard when you're an independant person but by the end of a long journey it's great if someone will help you carry stuff!
Hope that's helpful. Have a fab trip!!

We went to Vanuatu with a 3 month old (and a nearly 2 yo). We have been overseas twice since. TBH travelling with a baby is easier than with a toddler. It is much harder to keep a toddler still and occupied on a flight!

I recommend that you take a good quality sling and wear your baby most of the time. That makes things much easier. Also, don't forget to always have a change of clothes with you - for you as well as baby jic you are vomitted or pooed on!

I don't think so - that would mean that you have to discard them - things that are sealed shoudl be ok.

I also bought some Avent reusable cups with lids and teat, which are useful as they don't take up as much space as bottles ($13 at teh chemist Warehouse).

    Cheers
