not sure if this is in the right section but here goes...
my boy is just over 6 mnths & loves to eat me & cuddle me BUT as soon as his hands go into my hair he is pulling it. He literally pulls out handfuls....
is this normal? willl it stop soon? any ideas on how to get him to stop?
Jack did this and even though he is 6 mths he may understand if he does pull him away and say no pulling hair *name* and then pop him down he may cry but give him a few secs then pick him up and again repeat no hurts mummy!!! thats what I did with Jack he eventually associated me putting him down with him pulling my hair HTH!!!!
Nothing like a cuddle from DD after a hard day's work!

My DD is doing the same thing! and gosh she has a very very strong grip! Sometiems i have to literally peel each of her fingers off because she wont let go =(
I know that up to about 8- 9 months after I gave birth that I lost a lot of hair just due my hormones settling down. So while your bub is pulling your hair and that should be discouraged it may be that you are losing hair anyway and it is easier to pull out??
Can you put it up or tie it back so he doesn't have as much to grab hold of?
If you try Rach's trick then they really do learn. I had problems with biting with JJ. I was really stressed about it. I thought that he would never stop but a consistent approach works and now he knows that it isn't right to bite me.
Really, your hair does fall out anyway, especially the hair at the front so it will be a lot easier for your bub to pull it out.
I will give some of these a go, I thought maybe my ds was the only one so I am glad they all go through this stage cause it means it too will pass.
Thanks for your replies
I started wearing a necklace like a beaded one... (have to make sure its strong as the 1st one DD pulled and it broke) It also helps kkeep her focused. I may try that technique thou as she has just substituted my hair for the necklace.
