Who else's baby does NOT like to snuggle to sleep??
Its becoming a trend with Summer. I try for hours to feed/rock her to sleep. Give up, put her in the cot & 10 minutes max, shes out!
I get that she likes her own space.... but I'm a snuggly mummy!!!
Over the weekend we spent a night at a friends house. She wasn't real easy to settle, but we worked it out.
The next morning I was trying to get her to sleep before putting her in the car, because she'd gotten to the point of over tired & would've screamed the whole way home if I didn't settle her first.
Anyway, after an hour, she'd calmed down enough to drive home. I went & put her in the car seat & strapped her in. Got out of the car to close the door & looked down... she was already asleep!!!
I think its coz she's at the need to see/no time to stop & feed stage, but its just so quick!
She was tired, but wide awake 10 minutes ago. I take her to bed & the second I put her down she's still & settling. Haven't heard a sound.
I guess its a good thing, huh
I'm sure when she passes this stage I'll miss it
I've had two that never want to be put down (both my girls) and two that will not sleep unless I leave them alone in their bed to do so (both my boys) ... they like cuddles while they are awake though but they like their space at bedtime.
I'm going to find it mighty hard to give up dreamfeeding my little fella... it's the only sleepy snuggle I get!!!!
Like Just Me, mine will have a little cuddle while he's awake, but he wants to be in his bed to sleep. Even smiles when I put him in there as if to say "That's exactly what I wanted, now I can go to sleep'.
If we're at a friends house, I'll just pop him in his sleeping bag and leave him to sleep in a bedroom. I try settling him in my arms and he wants none of it.
Well thats not fair!! I'm a snuggler!
I'm hanging for DH to go away to work so we can get into co sleeping (been too tired & sleeping too deep to know where they both are in the bed), but it seems like I'll have to bring DS back into my bed instead!
My DD isn't a snuggler either. If she wakes at night, heaven help me if I try to pick her up to comfort her - she cries louder!! She only tolerates patting and rubbing of her chest/back.
Coopers like that, hes very cuddly when hes awake but as soon as he gets tired he just wants to be put down, but he has to be able to see or hear you or he will cry but just not held
