So DD (2 yo) took her nappy off during nap time yesterday and consequently when I got her up it was "Mummy, poo in my bed!!".
She didn't seem to have a lot on her hands, but did put them near her mouth before I could stop her. She's also a thumb sucker so I suspect a pooey thumb may have gone in too.
Fast forward to today. She vomited on the way to daycare (DHs work car, not my car thank goodness) and a further three times.
She seems ok now, has had a two hour nap and keeping down a little gastrolyte. Do you think the vomiting is probably poop-related? I can't think of anything else it could be, and she hasn't been t daycare since Thursday...
Yeah I would think the same thing Mrs P, not much you can do other than the usual, Gastro routine and make sure she recovers in a day or so or go to the Dr. Unpleasent learning curve for her though! My DD did this at 6months too (not nappy off just poo in mouth) however thankfully didnt get sick.
True but perhaps her immune system was just a bit down and something was opportunistic? There is a heap of nastier type bacteria in poo especially once they are on solids that can knock you around a bit if you ingest it.
Onyx I thought that too, so maybe it was coincidence but I'm not sure.
She vomited 4 times on the Tuesday morning, then nothing til that midnight when she had a coughing fit and vomited. Then fine again til another coughing fit last night and she vomited again. I think te coughing is setting her off and obviously her tummy is still a bit unsettled.
To continue my week of poo, she had her first poo in the pool during swimming today! I was like "oh, that looks like a little bit of carrot floating by..... OH NOOOOOOOO!". What a week!!
