Red face Bawling my eyes out, but I'm happy i promise!

Jazz has started standing by herself

And I'm literally sitting her with tears streaming down my face. I'm happy, of course, yay for Jazzy.

But WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH I'm not ready! LOL! I'm so proud and exctied to move into the next stage... having a toddler... but it's just gone so quick! This time last year I was contemplating having a newborn... now I'm facing having a *gulp* toddler!

So YAY for Jazzy, but lets hope she doesn't work it all out too quick! I don't think she's realised that she can stand by herself yet lol, its pretty much a case of letting go accidentally, then falling on her bum a minute later. LOL!

Anyway, just needed to share lol

*sigh* I can so relate to your grief of acknowledging the baby-phase is almost over. And sad to say that with each child for me it got faster and faster. It was something I had never expected... at the time it just seemed so slow, their growing up. I blinked and it seemed as if my middle child had gone from toddler to school boy! This is one reason I am so grateful to have been a SAHM. Any less time witnessing their youngest years would have broken my heart. But hey, there is so much for you to look forward to! Those first steps are just adorable!!! ETA: oh and all mine were standing with support at about 9 months and taking first steps at 10.... it was an extension of them being very strong newborns I think (able to support their own heads soon after birth). It's not a race... and in some ways I wish mine didn't develop so quickly either!

I dont even want to think about it. Every month I think "Stop growing!!" Dont you wish they'd stay small and innocent forever........ but then you also have those times where you think would you please learn to clean up after yourself!!!!

(Probably not much hope there. DH is 27 and he still hasnt learnt the art of cleaning.)

I remember my youngest little man standing in the shower by himself a few months after he turned 1yo. I had just stepped out and turned around to see him standing there with his back to me, hands held behind his back and letting the water run over his shoulders just like his daddy does... I had a bit of an emotional moment then... I could really see the man-to-be in the boy... but he was so tiny!!!! Then I saw him do wees down the drain LOL also just like his daddy... directing it and all! That cracked me up!

OMG where did that time go?? I look at my "little girl" who was a baby only yesterday and is now about to do her HSC and think abut how fast it went.
Enjoy every moment babe, its over so quickly.

Yayyy little Jazz! I know it's so heart wrenching to watch them grow up but there's nothing like watching them totter around on those chubby little legs, either

Mrs Mac, I felt the same when my eldest announced her engagement. It really does go in the blink of an eye. That's why I'm drinking up every tiny moment I get with Thomas!
