What size clothes did your bub come home from hospital in?

What size clothes did you take your baby home from hospital in?

DS wore 00000 at birth until about 5 weeks old
then 0000 for a month and so on

I have a few white outfits in 00000 (x2) but want to get some coloured suits
if you have more than one bub, did your babies weigh about the same?

I dont want to buy outfits that wont fit but dont want to not have them if they will....

both mine came home in 000

The smallest we had was 0000, but many outfits were 000. They might have been a little baggy but not too much.

DD went home in 00000
DS went home in a 0000 but was really a very large 000 and only squashed into it by his awful mother lol.

DD came home in a 00000 singlet and newborn nappy, that absolutely swamped her tiny little body!! The singlet came to her ankles almost!! She was tiny when we left. DS is noted as being 'significantly larger than average' for his gestation (oh great, ANOTHER 'thing'!!) so will get back to you with his sizes later

DD was in 0000 for 3-4 months.

I think stick with the couple of 00000 that you have and buy some 0000 and some 000 depending on how fast your bub grows and remember you can always run out and buy more clothes. We had to do that with DD!

All 5 came home in 000, i had 4x 8 pounders and 1x 7 pounder, so im assuming this baby will come home in 000 as well.

Can't remember with DS - probably a 0000.

DD1 - 000 (she was my longest and biggest at 8 pound 11)
DD2 - 0000 (she was 8 pound 10 but short at 52cm)
DD3 - got into 000's last week - so she was in 0000 for 6 weeks.

DS went straight into 000, then 00 2 weeks later! he was in 0's by 3-4 months.

ETA: oops forgot to say he was 9pd 11 at birth and gained weight VERY quickly!

All mine were in 0000 and they were baggy at 1st but by 6 weeks they were getting tight so went into 000 and were in them until about 3 months old.

DS went straight into 000- i'd keep the coupe of 00000 that you have and get a few of 0000 and 000, like others have said, you can always get some more if you need them

DD1 (3.5kg), DS1 (3.8kg), DS2 (3.7kg)- 0000
DS3 - 0000 but they were big born 2.8kg
DD2 - 00000 born 2.2kg came home at 2.1kg
DD3 - 000000 born 1045g came home at 9 weeks weighing 2kg
DS4 - 00000 born 920g came home at 15 weeks weighing 2.8kg

Dd1 in size 00000 but she was a prem and 2.75kg.

Dd2 was in 0000 she was 3.5kg she was only in them for a few weeks.

Ds was in 000 from the beginning because of his length.

DD was 7lb 12oz and came home in 00000's. In them for a couple weeks and then into 0000's for a few months.

DD came home in 00000 and was in them for 4 weeks? then 0000 for about another 12 ish weeks and now she is in 000 at almost 19 weeks old.
She is fat but short so even with cloth nappies she still fits 000 at 7kgs

Crazy how much it varieswith a little bit of weight or length. DS was 2755g at birth and went home the next day He was 38 weeks... hoping I only have another one that big because I had a hell of alot of stitches with him
