We were wearing a sleeping bag and either a singlet or jammies but eg like tonight its going to be 23degrees super hot.
so whats your LO wearing to bed? and are they in any bag? or just jammies ?
It's so hard knowing what to do in this kind of weather isn't it? We have air con this summer so Moo is in his usual bag plus pjs.
But before we had air con I'd just dress him in a nappy with a bag. He wouldn't sleep without it or a wrap when he was being wrapped! Used to drive me batty in the hot weather
LOL 23 degrees is super hot? Was that a typo? We set our aircon higher than that...
Jazz just wears a nightie. This time last year she was wearing a singlet and boxer shorts. It's regularly 25-28 degrees thought. If it's over 27 degrees we when she goes to bed we also put the ceiling fan on for her. If it's only 24, we'd just have her in normal jammies (nightie or singlet/boxers) but we'd cover her in a sheet too.
its been 30+ degrees today and this arvo DD slept in just a nappy and the ceiling fan and pedastal fan both on her and she still woke up with a sweat rash! tonight will be the same but il turn the fans down when i go to bed at about 10pm when it cool down a bit. and if im awake at 4am...which i normally am cause i have to get up to the loo every hour (being 36 weeks pg ) il prob turn the fans off or right down cause it gets lots cooler then!
she refuses to have a sheet on her and even if i try to cover her when she is asleep she wakes up and tells me off! she is a big time sweater like her dad!! its taken till now for me to get used to her being so hot blooded....im totally the opposite, tonight il probably still be cold with just a sheet even though it will be 30 +
[QUOTE=Indadhanu;2664831]LOL 23 degrees is super hot?:
hide:That's really hot at night to us lol .. 18 at night is a stressful night hahah .We don't havr air con or ceiling fans just the standing ones .
I don't handle the heat well, and DD is very wingy and gets so damp in this heat.
Might have to just do the singlet and bag coz i don't think she will sleep without the bag , i dont know if i want to risk it lol
on really hot nights Ds will wear just his nappy & sleeping bag - he probably doesn't need the bag but is very hard to settle without it. most nights he wears a short-sleeved suit under the bag.
Last night was bad down here.. DD is out of sleeping bags, so we put her in a singlet suit (as if we don't, she pulls her nappy off) and shorty light-weight pjs. She had a ceiling fan on but had kicked off her sheet and was just sprawled on her mattress.
DS last night we just put in a short sleeved bodysuit and nappy. Tried putting him in a 1 tog sleeping bag but he got too hot straight away so he just went into the cot without it and I pulled a thin cotton blanket over him tightly to try and stop him rolling - without his sleeping bag he tends to move around heaps!
Tonight he's in a singlet, short sleeved body suit and sleeping bag, with the cotton blanket.
We've got the aircon on as well and it's still 28 degrees in there!! At this heat we set it to 25/26 degrees because otherwise it's too difficult for her to transition out of her bedroom. It is consistently 30 something here right now. Yuk.
DD is in a short sleeve bonds suit and has a summer sleeping bag on but during the day when we don't use the aircon (just windows open and fan) we put her in a nappy and .5 tog sleeping bag.
Just a singlet and nappy with fan and Evap cooler on in her room. I gradually turn one appliance off after each night feed (2) and put a light cotton blanket on her if its cool enough in the early morning, but tonight it'll be hot all night. Took 1.5 hours for her to settle tonight in the end DH had to sponge her legs and arms to cool her down enough. Poor poppet.
i think I under-dress my kids... they are just in a singlet and nappy, and ds1 has a sheet and ds2 only has a muslin wrap to cuddle... And we are only in syd.. LOL... Anything more in our hot house and I am worried about them, but they did inherit their dads hot blood... xo
dd is wearing just a bonds easy suit i think they are called and has a muslin wrap lol and ds's are wearing boxer shorts at this time right now its 35 degree's here you wanna swap places lol
Nappy & singlet but we have the cool change now so he's also got a sheet & doona on. DS is a hot sleeper at the best of times so mainly sleeps in a tee & nappy
DS is in nappy, singlet and shorts, DD is in a light cotton dress and nappy. No sheets or covers (both kids hate them, even in winter. In winter we dress them in long sleeve t-shirt and tracksuit pants.). And the ceiling fans on. And the air-con on in the loungeroom. We will probably leave it on overnight tonight because with the cyclone on its way it's like an armpit up here. Last night was disgusting.
Like Leash, I giggled at your 'super hot' 23 degrees. We too set our air-con higher than that, and 23 is what we would consider a cool night.
Mostly a nappy and boxers. Sometimes a singlet as well when it's a bit cooler, but it has been staying hot all night here. Ick.
No blankets really either. DS2 has his fave blankie near him but it's never on him or anything. Wayyyy to hot. Both my kids are like hot sleepers anytime anyways.
It's a lot more than 23degress here It was in the 40 today now its still high not sure of the current temp though, its awful
I put DD in a singlet nappy and sleeping bag, she woke up for a feed and was wet all over from the heat poor thing so i stipped it off and she is sprawled out on the mattress with me in just the singlet /nappy..
I have a light wrap i can pop over her if it cools down
