    night sleep dramas

Hi, Ds who is about to turn 2 , when it was time for bed, at appr 7.30ish, he would gladly hop into his sleep suit, and wave goodbye and go off to his cot kissing up happily.

The last mnth , wow, what a difference, every time we go to put him in the suit, he wrestles, we more or less have to hold him down, it makes me feel ill, then he wants a book read, more milk, play with his mobile, it can take us 20 mins to get him into bed.. he Is still in the cot and once he is in there, he will scream for 2 or so mins, then he is out for the nxt 11 hrs. I am tempted just not to use the sleep suit, but he doesn?t stay under blankets.. I have kept him in the cot as I just don?t want any dramas in the bed.. poss he may enjoy this better, the new baby is due in a few weeks and I am hoping that this wont make matters worse.. I hate the screaming and more or less every night we have to wrestle him into the suit.

Also to dress him any time is a nightmare. I have heard about getting stickers and putting them on the hands to distract them may help

Anyone else going thryu bed night dramas. also day sleeps are becoming an issue, some days will have them other days no way.

Cna he help dress himself? I have fewer dramas with DS now I let him help - he can take his clothes off himself, quite often I come into his room in the morning and he's just in a nappy! Or we let him pick - the pirate pyjamas or the dragon pyjamas? The grey jumper or the green jumper? He also puts his arms into his tops so long as I do the head. (For the bottoms I give him a toy and he plays with that as I finish dressing him... it works!)

DS will sleep in just pyjamas, more than that and he's too hot. Maybe put your DS to bed in just a nappy (or let him help you dress him) and cover him when he's asleep.

Maybe he's not tired yet? Can you say you'll read to him from your book and he's to lay down in bed as you read - then read him something you like rather than a baby book? Not anything inappropriate, maybe Narnia - too adult for a baby but nothing bad there. And you'll enjoy it too.
