When did you toddler drop their daytime nap?

The past 3 days have been a struggle with DD when it comes to her arvo nap. The first day she fought & fought & eventually went down. The past two days she has carried on & not gone to sleep at all. She is in her cot as I type this, & has been talking away & yelling out to me for about an hr, I am just about to go fetch her out as she is wide awake, no chance of sleeping today. I keep her busy enough, when we have days off we go for a play at the park, toddler gym & daycare. So I am just wondering, could she be dropping her daytime nap?

She might just be going through a phase? My DS2, who is 21 months old, can go for a couple of days at a time where he will fight sleep and then go back to napping normally again.

My DS1 was 3 1/2 when he stopped his day naps

DD1 stopped having a day sleep not long after her 2nd bday. For a while I could talk her into having one if it was a special occasion (like we were going out for dinner) but I tried a couple of wks ago, and now at 2.5 she will not.
She is in bed at 6:30pm though, and will sleep till 6:30/7am so for me its worth it

Yeah we're the same as SS - DS dropped his just before he turned 2 - and now we can't get him down for one, not even if he is sick. But he goes to bed before 7pm and sleeps till usually 5.30 (on a good day - 5am on a bad day!)

He sleeps at day care though (frustratingly!!!) but usually only for an hour or something.

Hasn't happened here yet! He can go without for a few days but then has catchup sleeps for a few days hehe.

I'm certainly not willing them away either LOL. I've got them sleeping at the same time these days! woo!

DD is still fighting her daytime sleeps when she is home, but will crash if we go for a walk in the pram or in the car (last week fell asleep at 10am as we were driving into town). If we want to get her to sleep at home, we do lots of stories, then sneak her into the sleeping bag, attempt to put her in the cot, if it isn't looking hopeful, she will sit on my lap while I read a long story where she will fall asleep. Painful, which is why I just pop her in the pram, do 30 minutes then park her on the back deck while I get on with my chores!

She has sleeps without a problem at daycare - 2.5 hours today!!

    DD#1 - 29 months
    DD#2 - 3 yrs and 2 months
DD#3 - still has daytime naps.

My DD#3 is the same age as your DD....she defn still needs a day sleep, and will often run to her cot when i say 'sleep time'. She usually sleeps for 2 hrs, always up by 4pm....and in bed again at 7pm (again, runs to her cot when we say bedtime....)
My DD#2 has only just dropped her day sleep...i reckon if i persisted really hard she would still have 1.5 hrs in the day, but with newborn and toddler, and school runs, i gave up when she started to argue with me....she will often sleep in the car on the way home though from school pick up.

I have found this year, we've had to get up at 7am to get DD#1 ready for school....last year i sometimes didnt get outta bed till 830am !!! and noticed at only 12 months, she would struggle with her day sleeps...maybe look at getting up a little earlier..?????

I've got them sleeping at the same time these days! woo!
...a major achievement in any mums book...cant wait for that day with my younger two...well done !!!
