    When should I be worried?

Hello helpful BBers. DD is 8 and half months old and has no teeth and no signs of any popping up soon. And of course everyone asks does she have teeth yet...and then I get the "oh she should by now" So when should I start worrying there might be some sort of problem?

ava didn't get any teeth till she was 10 months old babe. it's not uncommon, some babies do things earlier than others.

My sister is 22 years old this year and there is NO sign of her wisdom teeth.

Basically what I'm saying is that I am sure they will come through when they are ready.

After 3.5 years with braces which required the removal of 8 of my adult teeth (and other out soon) plus all 4 wisdoms I don't think teeth should be made to do what other people say. When he/the teeth are ready, they will probably all pop through at once!

As an aside...my mother was telling me that when I was born, there were two babies beside me in special care BORN with teeth. One with 5, and one with a full mouth of them.

My nephew was 17 months when he got his first tooth.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

oh as an add on, i did question with drs regarding my son and they said he cant see a dentist till he is capable of sitting still and not getting stressed. At about age 4 he saw a dentist they said he is to young for xrays but said in most cases the tooth is just trapped up there in gum but it will come down when ready and very rarely it needs help. Sometimes there si no tooth there too. but as i said he got his when he was almost 8 years old. they also said we are born with all our teeth adult teeth too so its just a mater of time

Oooh don't think I want her to get them all at once that would be painful! Or maybe better to get it all in one hit?

DS got his first tooth at 13 months! Now he has four top teeth and two bottom teeth are coming through, so don't worry, they will come.
