Why you should never ever fall asleep in bed while breastfeeding!

Sooo tired after a huge day out yesterday so I allowed myself to doze off while lying in bed feeding Miss A. Woke up freezing cold cos I had pushed the doona down and away from A. Absolutely no feeling in my right arm that was supporting her. My right arm and side covered in poo from the mother of all pooplosions that had gone through her nappy, body suit, onesie and sleeping bag. My chest and between my boobs covered in baby vomit.

So, don't fall asleep feeding your baby ladies. You get a whole lot less sleep after getting up to clean yourself off, change bub and change the bed!!

I had something similar happen last week (though I pretty much always fall asleep feeding ) when I decided to not change Amelia's nappy right before bed, since she'd just been changed half an hour before at my Mum's. Completely forgot that Mum uses a different brand than me, one that Amelia always wees out of... I woke up in a puddle, people!

Sent from my iPhone, probably while a toddler sits on my head.

And those puddles are so damn cold!!

I thought it was pretty funny too - well, funnier now that its hours later and I'm dry and warm. DH wasn't overly amused though. After all, the poor love had been sleeping through the whole thing before that moment ;-)

Oh no Lu!!! Almost the trifecta of baby bodily fluids - all you needed was a leaky nappy and you would have had it!

There was SO much poo that it may well have been a pooplosion with a wee assist!!

The amazing thing was Miss A slept blissfully through her change, my change and the bed change

This is why I slept with a cardi on and a fleece baby blanket under the two of us... hindsight is a great teacher! Glad it's all cleaned up now.
