Our three month old just can't seem to fall asleep in the car - which worries me as we have a long trip planned next weekend.

As soon as I put him in the car seat, he busily starts kicking his feet up and down the car seat and watches his feet - if there's a label on the lining, he struggles to reach his toes to it. And, just today he accidently grabbed his toes with his fingers and now is intent on doing it again! He's currently rearward facing. His longest "busy leg " time in the car seat was a 45 minute trip we were hoping he'd fall asleep on - not so !!

Inevitably he gets very tired from all this physical activity and low grizzles turn into full-on crying after about 20-30 minutes.

Any tips on how we can cue to sleep? He does sleep with a snuggle toy, maybe if i give him that and put a light wrap over his seatbelt he might get the hint? We also play gentle music for his day sleeps but I dont really fancy puting on that music on our 3 hour trip next weekend..
