DD 11mths had a type of rash on her body last night. At first we thought it was a reaction to fish but then after speaking the maternal health helpline decided it could be roseola - she had a temperature for 2 days a few days ago. This morning when she woke up the rash had moved around her body but still there (but not the places it was last night). AFter breakfast I got her dressed and the rash has disappeared. So just wondering if I should take her to the dr - I have nothing to show him because the rash has disappeared?
Sometimes it can just be viral rash and will go away as quickly as it comes. I wouldn't go to the doctors if its gone but you need to do what you feel comfortable with.
DD had roseola and her rash came and went over a couple of days. the rash is very fine... roseola is very hard to diagnose apparently... It is typically a high fever for 3 to 4 days with irritability and then the rash appears but is often very fine and faint ad short lived. When DD had it, her fevers were 39 to 40 and we actually just thought she was teething until she got the rash. The only reason she went to the Dr with the rash was because she had started Antibiotics two days earlier for an ear infection and I needed to make sure it wasn't a reaction to that... She was totally fine within a couple of days.
