    Anti fruit

    Hi everyone

DD is 14 months and at the moment is anti fruit. She is a fairly good eater now, but is shaking her head whenever I offer any sort of fruit. I'm finding it hard to be varied at the moment because she's allergic to apples, so we're on kiwi fruit and bananas and manderines. She can't really have any of the fruit tubs because the juice that they're in is generally apple. Last week she devoured everything that I gave her, this week nope, no way!

She has weetbix or toast for breakfast, rice cakes with cheese and avocado or a sandwich for lunch and whatever we're having for dinner, which usually means plenty of vegies, because I'm a stickler for that. But her snacks during the day have always been fruit and milk.

    Just a phase?

Yes, just a phase.....they change quicker than you can breath some days don't they?
My two continue to astound me (DS has only recently finished a self0imposed diet of frozen peas only - so I understand).
I do though always offer a small piece with whatever they're eating. I know it usually gets left, but they're funny little souls and often surprise you when you least expect it.

Keep in mind that most fruit are out of season and don't taste as good at the moment. It could just be that.

Could it be teething? My DS normally loves fruit of all types but refuses to eat when he's teething. I have no idea why but it's happened many times.

Maybe that too. She ate a banana yesterday -- but only after she watched me eat half of it! Cheeky devil.
