Argh don't feed the baby cake!!

My little sisters are here playing on the floor with Aiden and they forget he puts EVERYTHING in his mouth!! They were eating chocolate cake and I said babies don't eat cake so DS can't have any. They said ok so I went and got a drink. When I came back my little boy is covered in chocolate and the girls said he ate it off the floor Will it make him sick??

D'oh! How old is the bubba?
Most things in moderation I feel is okay, but everyone reacts to different foods in different ways.
It probably won't harm him but he may have some mild reaction - I wouldn't be too concerned
    Good luck!

My mum reckons I was fed jelly snakes by my older siblings at around 4 months, LOL.
Obviously it's not the best thing for him, but I wouldn't stress too much. Do you have a history of allergies in your family?
All you can do is keep an eye on him, I guess, and hope that it doesn't give him a belly ache. Kids, eh?

Its not like you give him choc cake all the time, so he'll probablly be ok. Might have a bit of a sore tum or the runs.

My 3rd child has eaten things he shouldn't from a much younger age than his sisters simply cause he has 2 older siblings!! Babies are tougher than we give them credit for so don't stress.

Yeah, they eat worse things once they're crawling! LOL.

The only annoying thing would be if he has a reaction, you don't know which ingredient he's allergic to. But otherwise I wouldn't worry at all.

My DD recently survived eating some of a huntsman spider.. so I'm sure cake is fine. LOL.

oh man - cake is nothing. Cat biscuits, poo (and yes - his own ), dirt, sand, food other kids have had a go at... Yesterday he tried chalk. He's fine.

The choc cake might make him unwell.. My mil gave ds ice cream. His tummy got upset and he didn't sleep well that night, but then he was fine.
