Banging back of head on chair

My DD is 7 months and in the last couple of days has started banging the back of her head on her high chair and car seat, she does it quite strongly and repeatedly. She is not distressed when doing so, in fact seems to be quite happy/excited. Has anyone else had this, is it just a phase??

DS does this too I was going to post about it! He hits his head on everything (doors, windows, chairs) and even with his hands. No idea why, thought about taking him to a dr just to make sure he's not trying to tell me something! He does it numerous times a day!

It could just be a way of getting attention, my son does this when he's had enough in that position.

oh yeah! I'd say its normal. Another thing my (weird) babies did was to pull a funny face and shake when they got excited!

My DS used to do it, I think its a normal part of their developement...not really sure what its developing but normal nevertheless haha. We tried to discourage it as we didn't want him to hurt himself

DS does this and he is 16 mths. I read it is for attention so I try to ignore it. He also shakes when he is excited which is really cute
