Hi. Hoping someone can relate to this. My little girl is 2 months old, for the first 6 weeks I wore her in a sling whenever I went out, she loved it but as it got hotter it became too uncomfortable for both of us?also I repeatedly got mastitis , possibly due to her pressing on my boobs when in the carrier.
We have a great pram?mountain buggy, but she hates when we go out in it. Don?t know if it?s the weather she hates, it?s been hot and quite windy recently, or if it?s the pram.
I end up just carrying her in my arms but it limits what I can do, and can?t take the nice long walks I enjoy (and need to do to get back into shape) Haven?t left the house for days cause she just screams every time.
Anyone had this before? What can I do to make going out more fun for her (and me).
p.s. I don?t drive either
What about a different type of carrier? Like, maybe she doesn't like the sling - but would like a more upright type. DD hates the bubba moe sling I have, but likes the cheap Tomy carrier I have - so I went and got an Ergo cos the Tomy hurts my back after a while.
Whereabouts are you on the sunny coast? maybe we could meet up one day for an outing? Our DD's are only a day apart in age!
My DS1 absolutely HATED the pram when he was a bub, it wasn't until he was about 12 months old that he didn't mind it. Hopefully it won't take your DD that long to like the pram! I used to carry DS1 everywhere in a Baby Bjorn. DS2 likes the pram luckily, but like Arimeh I have an Ergo carrier this time around because it sooo much better on my back.
Hopefully you can get out soon, I know the frustration!
i have the same problem i have cheap carrier where cammi sits up right and she loves it but i do get a sore back, what i found with the pram i sit it up a bit an she loves it but grace might be to young as cammi is 4months old if you put a neck support thing in it might help and i put toys on the pram..HTH
Nothing like a cuddle from DD after a hard day's work!

Hi Beckos,
Couple of weeks ago for a few weeks, DD did not want to be in her pram. She cried and wanted to be carried.
I got to the point of frustration where I didnt want to bring her out because it was soo tiring carrying her and pushing the pram and trying to do the shopping.
However, I discovered the other week that all she wanted to do was to see everything. I adjusted her seat so she was sitting up and she didnt cry for the last few shopping trips now.
