i have a scuttle bum! my daughter is almost 9 months, and altho she has tried to crawn alot, and tried again after giving up, she hates it, can only go backwards, and gets very very frustrated!! its goten to the point were i cant put her on her tummy with out yelling and screaming
she has been trying to walk, wriggles off the couch or my lap untill she is standing, but cant stand without holding on so gets frustrated with that to..

well today she figured something out, she can move on her bum, she sits there and reaches for something, if she cant get it, she goes like she will crawl, reaches again, if that dont work, she flips back onto her bum and wriggles her bum in the direction she wants to be!!! she is so pleased with herself, she has been doing laps of the lounge room, and actualy getting up set when i try get her to go to bed!

will she start to crawl eventualy or just go straight from scuttle-buming to walking???
i have no idea as both the boys were crawling by now!!
either way, im so proud of her for finding a way that works best for her, and its so darned cute!!!!
