Question can babies get hemmoroids? maybe tmi

my poor bub always seems to get constipated lately, think its caus she just started solids, usually i give her prune juice to sort it out but when i forget she does lil nuggets and cries sooooo hard and when i was cleaning her bum i saw that around her bumhole its swollen? like from pushing....could this be a hemmoroid? im really worried!!

You are not to blame. I would up her water intake and maybe give solids a miss for a day or so. Are you giving her rice cereal? Reason being I found that my girls got blocked up when on rice cereal. Have you changed formula? If bub has been ok with her formula up until now I would suggest it is the solids causing it.

Not sure if bubs can get hemorrhoids, but I am guessing that they can if there is a lot of straining going on.

It is NOT your fault. Us poor mums have enought mother's guilt to contend with. My bub is going through the same thing. Prune juice didn't work for me but orange vegies and lots of water did. Sweet potato mashed with broccoli and water to make it smooth. I would give him the water warmed up a little in his bottle so he'd drink heaps before he realised it wasn't milk Different babies respond to different foods so I would try everyone's suggestions. My son's consitpation lasted a couple of weeks... lot's of little hard rock poos...and every now and again he still gets it. Good luck.

yes they can! my ds got a bit constipated last week while it was very hot, he is not a big water drinker and I have realised that it is the rusks I have been giving him that are a main contributor.
I freaked out last week as ds had been grunting and groaning and crying but not alot of action happening, he was also teething (bottome 2 molars coming through poor thing ) so I gave him some nurofen for the first time, when I next changed his nappy, the yoghurt I had given him had done the trick and he had a full nappy but laso about a tablespoon of blood! I freaked out thinking it was the nurofen...but was told it was most likely a hemmaroid from him straining that had burst when he finally did go.
